The area of Torrevieja
The southern part of the Costa Blanca is in summer- and in wintertime a very good place to be.
The region is well known for a number of salt lakes, and sandy beaches with a unique dune strip.
The area is not overrun by mass tourism, but in the season's the bustling towns and villages organise a lot of activities and fiestas.

To make a lovely walk along the boulevard in Torrevieja, along the beautiful harbors and along the many stalls with all kinds of native products.
A visit to Elche is more than worth of it. The city has the largest palm forest in Europe.

Also visiting Alicante, the Castillo Santa Barbara, dating from the 16th to the 19th century for the magnificent view of the city .
For children there are several water and amusement parks in Torrevieja and Rojales.
Also the safari park brings fun, if you do not want to spend a day at the pool or the beach.
It is also an ideal area for sportfans: swimming, diving, windsurfing, snorkel, jet skiing, tennis and cycling.

In a radius of 30 km. there are over 10 golf courses including the world famous Real Club.
For a day out, the waterfalls of Algar, where you can swim in the quiet parts of the river, to visit the mountain village of Guadalest or visiting Benidorm, with the Terra Mitica,
the largest amusement park in Europe, is also certainly qualify. And you can visit in this region each day another market.
